COVID-19 Testing

PacGenomics offers Covid tests nationwide in the United States since 2019.

PacGenomics offers Viral RT-PCR and Rapid Antigen Tests for Covid-19 Testing.

PacGenomics provides mobile COVID-19 sample collection services to schools, businesses and health facilities at their desired locations.  Please contact us at reportingteam@pacgenomics.com.

Viral RT-PCR testing is performed to determine if you are actively infected with COVID-19.

For Viral RT-PCR test sample collection, a small swab is inserted into either the nostril (nasopharyngeal), mouth (oropharyngeal), or using your saliva.

Rapid Antigen testing is commonly used for the detection SARS-COV 2, the virus that causes COVID-19 infection. RAT is suitable for point-of-care testing that directly detects the presence or absence of the COVID-19 antigen. RAT is a lateral flow test that detects the COVID-19 protein antigen. RAT is an immunochromatographic assay that gives visual results and is qualitative. It is a screening test and thus should be evaluated with a confirmatory test like PCR. This sample collection methods are nasal swab.

Turnaround for Viral RT-PCR:

Tournaround time for the Viral RT-PCR test is 1-5 days.

Turnaround for Rapid Antigen Test:

The result would be ready in about 15 min.

Respiratory Infectious Disease Panel

Respiratory tract infections are classified into the upper respiratory tract infections and lower respiratory tract infections. This occurs when pathogens gain entry to the respiratory tract through inhalation of droplets. Knowing the causative agent of the infection helps healthcare providers determine the most appropriate treatment plan to avoid life-threatening complications, especially for high-risk patients.

The following are the most common signs and symptoms

  • Cough
  • Congestion
  • Rhinorrhea
  • Sore throat
  • Headaches
  • Difficulty of breathing
  • Wheezing
  • Fever
  • Myalgia
  • Malaise

UTI Panel

Impact Genomic uses molecular techniques to provide comprehensive detection of the most common urinary pathogens.

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are one of the most common bacterial infections. UTIs can be challenging, not only because of the significant number of infections, but also because the diagnosis is not always straightforward. UTIs can also have a similar clinical presentation with other diseases. It can be asymptomatic or present with atypical signs and symptoms, hence it is very important for physicians to distinguish UTIs from other diseases and know the causative agent for the proper diagnosis and treatment of the patient.

Most common signs and symptoms of Urinary Tract Infections (UTI): UTIs affect several parts of the urinary tract with the bladder being the most common. When left untreated, UTIs can lead to serious complications, including kidney damage. The following are the most common symptoms:

  • Pain or burning while urinating
  • Frequent urination
  • Pressure or cramping in the groin or lower abdomen
  • Lower back pain or pain in the side of your back
  • Cloudy or strong smelling urine

STI Panel

PacGenomics offers STI Panel Testing using molecular techniques for the detection of the most common cause of infection.

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) are very common and are often asymptomatic. It spreads predominantly by unprotected sexual contact including vaginal, anal, and oral sex.

STIs have a huge impact on health. If left untreated, they can lead to serious consequences including increased risk of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Most STIs can be cured with the proper medications. Hence, it is very important for medical providers to know the types of STIs to treat or cure the infections to help prevent serious consequences.

Pacgenomics’ STI Panel Tests for the following pathogens:

  • hlamydia trachomatis

Wound Infection Panel

PacGenomics offers Wound Panel Testing using molecular techniques for the detection of the most common causes of wound and soft tissue infections.

A wound infection (WIs) occurs when bacteria gain access and multiplies inside the wound and can significantly delay the healing process. A wound is considered chronic when it does not progress through the normal stages of healing within 3 months or if it relapses. There are several factors that can contribute to the delay of the wound healing such as diabetes, neurological defect, vascular insufficiency, nutrient deficiency, aging, and infection.

Wound infections require immediate treatment, hence proper identification of the causative agent of the infection is very important for proper diagnosis and treatment to help prevent serious complications.

Most common wound infection signs & symptoms:

  • Increasing pain at the wound site
  • Erythema
  • Edema
  • Heat
  • Purulent exudate
  • Foul odor

  • Acinetobacter Sp.
  • Staphylococcus aureus
  • Providencia Sp.
  • Klebsiella Sp.
  • Pseudomonas aeruginosa
  • Staphylococcus epidermis
  • Enterobacter Sp.
